Header Spec’s:
This header is available in 2” or 2 1/8” tube sizes with 3 ½” collectors, also in a 2 ¼” tube size with 4” collectors. All of our headers are hand made so we can build them for any engine deck height and any cylinder head. It has excellent ground clearance and spark plug access.

What Fits:
It is designed for aftermarket oil pans with side sump kick outs. The available room measuring from the side of a stock oil pan is 4 ½” on the driver side and
3 ¼” on the passenger side. The header is to the outside of the oil filter, but some oil pan kick outs under the filter will trap the filter. Milodon offers an oil pan #30951 or #30956 which has a cutaway at the back of the kick out under the filter which will allow the filter to drop straight down when changing it, (very nice). This header requires a mini starter.
Our design car had a Jim Meyers Racing front subframe with their side motor mounts and the steering column installed per their specs.
This header will also fit motor plates. If you are using a Lakewood scatter shield, you may have to slightly trim the outer flange under the starter area for header clearance. This header will fit clutch linkage (mounted above oil filter, not original ’55 to ’57 linkage) and will fit a power brake booster.

Installing the headers:
Header built in the Pro-Tour style. Driver side, remove the center section of the steering column (between the 2 U joints), remove the oil filter. If the factory ears have been cut off of your automatic transmission then this header will install from the bottom without raising the engine.
Passenger side, with the engine and starter in place the header will install from the bottom.

Header built in the Race style: This header in the race style has individual tubes and slip on collectors. Each tube has its own flange. You can install this header with everything in place. Start from front to back, install one tube at a time then install the collector, then tighten all bolts.

Note:
Be sure to read the Yellow “Header Installation Tips page” before installing your new headers, it will make it much easier and save you time.
