Header Specs:
This header can be made in any tube size UP TO a step header of 2 1/8” stepped to 2 ¼” with UP TO a 4” collector. It is hand made so we can make it for any deck height and for any cylinder head. All tubes are inside the frame. ½” below the bottom of our oil pan. Spark plug access is excellent. We have room for oil The bottom of our design header was pan sump kick outs, on the driver side we have 4 ½” of room at the bottom of the pan and on the passenger side we have 1 ¾” of room. If the oil pan kick out is under the oil filter the filter may be trapped.

What Fits:
This header will fit stock motor mounts and motor plates. The steering column has good room and there is room for a power brake booster, it also fits factory clutch linkage.
If you have a column shifter you will have to use Lokar or I Did It shifter linkage. They both offer replacement mechanical linkage and a cable shifter system.
This header requires a mini starter not over 8” long including the mounting block at the back of the starter. We recommend a Power Master #9540 starter or CVR 5323 starter. If your oil pan has sump kick outs under the oil filter the filter may be trapped.
We have room for oil pan kick outs. The bottom of our design header was ½” lower than the bottom of the oil pan. The available room for oil pan sump kick outs, measuring from the side of a stock oil pan on the driver side we have 4 ½” of room at the bottom of the pan and on the passenger side we have 1 ¾” of room. If the oil pan kick out is under the oil filter the filter may be trapped.
This header was not designed for a 1 ton chassis. It will touch the inside of the “C” shaped frame.
If you want to use them on a 1 ton truck you can slightly trim the frame (ask Dan for more info).
Installing Headers:
Note: It is important to read our Yellow “Header Installation Tips” page before installing the headers. It will make installing them easier and save you time!

Installing with individual tubes:
On the driver side install #1, then #3, then #7, then #5. Only snug the header bolts until the collector has been installed then tighten all bolts.
On the passenger side install #2, then #4, then #8, then #6.

Installing one piece headers:
If the header is built as all one piece then it should be installed as the engine is installed.
